DISD serves eligible four-year-old students in full-day prekindergarten classes.
Students must be 4 years old, on/before September 1 of the year they will be in Pre-K.
Full-day classes are available at Rann, Young and Carson.
Four-year-old students who qualify are eligible for free full-day pre-k, subject to campus availability.
Only eligible students may attend Pre-K!
Is your child eligible for Pre-K?
Decatur ISD employee's children are eligible for DISD tuition based Pre-K if they do not meet the state guidelines. Employees who wish to enroll their Pre-K student in tuition based Pre-K should email Zaira Palomo.
The process for enrolling your child in Pre-K begins in Skyward Family Access:

PLEASE REVIEW THIS PAGE CAREFULLY. THERE ARE DIFFERENT OPTIONS FOR FAMILIES NEW TO DECATUR ISD AND FAMILIES WHO ALREADY HAVE CHILDREN ATTENDING DECATUR ISD.
This process must be done on a computer, not a mobile device. Please visit your zoned campus for computer access.
The following documentation will need to be brought to the school:
Birth Certificate
Immunization Records
Your child's immunizations must be current in order to complete your child's registration and place them in a class.

Social Security Card (if available)
Parent-Guardian Photo ID
State-issued driver’s license
Texas ID
Passport with current address
Military or government-issued ID
Proof of District Residency
Current utility bill (no telephone bills) with parent's or guardian's name and address OR
Current lease agreement/mortgage with parent's or guardian's name and address OR
A notarized statement of residency (also available at registration)
Proof of Income
Current pay stub with gross income for all household members OR
Tax Return for 2018 (Required Only for Head Start or Self Employed)
Proof of Food Stamp/TANF (if applicable)-Public Assistance Award Letter (Food stamp/TANF letter indicating current amount & dates)
Proof of military service for active-duty military parent(s) (if applicable)
Proof of Foster Care/State Adoption (if applicable)
If you will be applying for the Federal Free and Reduced Price Lunch program please note:
Registering for Prekindergarten does not automatically enroll your family in the lunch program. You will need to fill out the application for the lunch program beginning in August before school begins. The campus will verify income for Prekindergarten enrollment but does not approve lunch applications. Applications for the lunch program must be completed and approved by DISD Food Services.
